On Friday, Bison Wrestling faced a disappointing loss to Princeton, falling 18-15 in the 2024 dual finale at Jadwin Gymnasium.

Despite being tied for a majority of the night, the Tigers were eventually able to pull ahead and secure their lead. Early on, Kurt Phipps ’25 and Dylan Chappell ’25 tallied back-to-back wins at 133 and 141, bringing the score to 6-6. However, following these wins Princeton responded with their own back-to-back win streak, putting the Bison behind 12-6.

Of the 10 bouts, the Orange and Blue grabbed five of them. In addition to Phipps and Chappell, Noah Mulvaney ’27 and Dorian Crosby ’24 also won their bouts. Despite losing 3-0 early on, Mulvaney powered through to secure a 5-5 tie and ultimate victory. Crosby grabbed a 6-2 decision in his dual.

Myles Takat’s ’27 7-2 win at 174 tied the dual at 12-12. From here the Tigers pulled away with Bison Mikey Bartush ’26 falling 8-6 at 184, and Logan Deacetis ’25 falling 5-3 at 197, to give the Tigers their 18-12 advantage.
