It was a high-scoring game in Lewisburg for Men’s Lacrosse as they took on Army, but despite eleven goals from the Bison, they ended the game losing 19-11.

Army scored the first four goals of the contest and Bucknell had a difficult time coming back from there. The Bison tacked on a few goals, but Army’s high-powered offense made it tough for the Orange and Blue to recover, as the deficit favored Army 14-4 late in the second quarter.

Bucknell went on a 4-1 scoring run late in the third quarter to cut the Black Knight lead to 15-8, but this was the closest they’d get to cutting the trail.

Army took the advantage in shots 44-32 and also in ground balls 42-33. Brendan Coyle ’24 took charge in the faceoff department for the Bison, winning eight of his nineteen draws with six ground balls.

Connor Davis ’25 led the team with four goals, which was the fourth time Davis had scored four or more in a game. Sean Berrigan ’27 also tallied his first career hat trick.

Luke Brunner ’27 also added two goals, while Patrick Ciquera ’24 and John Young ’26 each scored once. Will Pickering ’26 was the catalyst for Bucknell on the defensive end, causing three turnovers and scooping five ground balls.

The Bison close out their regular season at Army this Friday at 7 p.m.
