This past weekend, Men’s Lacrosse competed against Army at home, losing 8-14.
The Orange and Blue were coming off a strong overtime win at home against Lafayette last weekend. They came into the game ranking 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot League. On the other hand, Army was looking to build on a win against Lehigh.
The Orange and Blue fell early as the Black Knights scored the first four goals and took a 7-2 lead at the half. The Bison were down 11-5 with 11:44 left in the fourth quarter.
Peter Grandolfo ’27, Sean Berrigan ’27 and Michael Meyer ’26 answered with three straight goals to bring the Orange and Blue back within range.
The Black Knights responded, adding another three to extend their lead to 14-8. Sean Murray ’29 had two assists, while Anthony Panetti ’28 scored a goal and an assist for the Bison. Jaz Zanelli ’26 made six saves in goal.
The Orange and Blue outshot Army 39-37, but the Black Knights won the ground ball battle 38-30. Despite their strong efforts, the Bison fell 8-14 to the Black Knights.
The Bison compete next against Boston University in Massachusetts on April 11.
