Men’s Lacrosse found their fourth win of the season against Hobart on Saturday, Feb. 21, improving its season record to 4-1.
The Bison started strong, finding the lead early with a goal from Michael Meyer ’26 just nine seconds into the match. Owen Kovacs ’26 tacked on another one, putting the Orange and Blue up two goals in under two minutes. The Statesmen responded in the middle of the first period, netting three straight, but the Bison found two more goals of their own.
Hobart and the Orange and Blue would exchange runs as the Statesmen slung three into the back of the net and the Bison answered with four of their own, to make the score 8-6.
The Statesmen would trade goals with the Orange and Blue, but found a 3-0 run that extended into the fourth quarter, giving Hobart a 10-9 lead with under 10 minutes to play.
Luke Brunner ’27 tied the game at 10-10 off a Peter Grandolfo ’27 assist, his third of the day. Sean Murray ’29 found the eventual winner with just under seven minutes to play before Kovacs netted an insurance goal with a minute to play, giving him a hat-trick for the afternoon.
Men’s Lacrosse continues their season and starts Patriot League play against Lehigh on Saturday, Feb. 28, where they will look to find their third consecutive win.
