This past weekend, Men’s Lacrosse competed against Boston University, losing 12-13. Both teams entered the matchup hungry for a bounce-back win.
The Bison were looking to shake off a tough home loss to Army, while the Terriers were aiming to get back on track following a setback against Loyola Maryland. The Orange and Blue were down 10-9 at the half.
The Terriers added a quick one to start the third quarter, making the score 11-9. The Bison responded with Sean Murray ’29 scoring one in the third and Hans Huber ’27 adding another at the start of the fourth quarter to tie the match, 11-11.
Despite the attack, the Terriers retook the lead 12-11 with 6:50 left. Luke Renaud ’26 made two crucial saves, keeping the game within one, before Anthony Panetti ’28 tied the match with just 1:46 left in the quarter.
The Terriers won the faceoff, but the Bison forced a turnover and found a quick look, forcing the Terriers to make a crucial save in the final seconds. After winning the overtime faceoff, BU found an opening and called the game. Despite their efforts, the Bison lost 12-13 to the Terriers.
The Bison continue next against Holy Cross at home on April 18.
