Men’s Lacrosse improved to 2-0 on the young season following a dominant 11-2 victory at home over St. Bonaventure. This was the lowest goal total Bucknell has allowed in a game since a 13-1 win over Lafayette on Apr. 11, 2014.
The Bison were elite defensively, forcing 22 turnovers on the Bonnies. Jaz Zanelli ’26 made seven saves in goal as the Orange and Blue allowed two goals or fewer in a matchup for the 30th time over 757 total games.
Peter Grandolfo ’27 tallied four goals on the game, including three consecutive in the third quarter to break open the lead for the Bison. Sean Murray ’29 also tallied his first goal to go along with three assists.
After Grandolfo opened up the Orange and Blue’s lead to 7-2 in the third quarter with three straight goals, the Bison added four more to the tally in the fourth quarter.
Two of Murray’s three assists came in the final frame, one to Luke Brunner ’27 and another to Anthony Panetti ’28.
Next up for the Orange and Blue is a road game at Robert Morris on Feb. 13.
