Women’s Cross Country wins gold at Harry Lang Invitational

Women’s cross country traveled to Hamilton, N.Y. for their season opener. The Bison put up impressive performances, leading to a first place victory over big competitors like Syracuse, Navy and more. 

Three Bison runners placed in the top ten, helping push the team up in ranks overall. The Bison were led by Abby Paczewski ’24 placing second (18:00.1), Caryn Rippey ’26 placing third (18:15.1), Kailey Granger ’27 placing seventh (18:29.2), Hailey Reinhard ’27 placing eleventh (18:35.6) and Laura Sakol ’24 placed 15th (18:46.2).

The Bison put up 38 points, nine points above their competitor ACC school Syracuse (47). This win marks the Bison’s third straight season winning their opening meet.

The Orange and Blue will be back and running Sept. 16 at Moon Township for the Colonial Invitational.
