Women’s Golf is back in action

This week, Women’s Golf headed to Williamsburg to compete in the Kingsmill Invitational, hosted by William & Mary, where they finished in eighth place out of ten teams.

On the opening day of the tournament, the Bison posted team scores of 336 and 332 and ended the day in eighth place. However, despite the low ranking, it was close, tough math considering none of the 10 teams scored better than a 308.

The most impressive round of the day was from Sofia Nogalo ’27 who posted an 80 in the morning, Lila Smith ’27 and Nicole Yun ’27 who posted 81’s and Katherine Vice ’27 who shot 82-80 and went 36 holes at 162.

As for the final round on Tuesday, the Bison shot a 323. Nogalo once again excelled for the Bison, posting an 80, making her the lowest scoring Bison for the invitational with a score of 246, which put her in a tie for 33rd place in the tournament. Yun also shined, posting a 79.

Women’s Golf is up next on April 7th when they travel to Warren, Ohio to compete in the Youngstown State Invitational.
