The Orange and Blue continued their spring season with their last tournament before the Patriot League Championships. They spent their weekend at Rutgers, where the team placed 8th at the invitational.
The Bison posted a total team score of 951 over 54 holes to land in the middle of the 16-team pack. They also stayed ahead of Patriot League foes Boston and Lehigh, who tied for 11th.
On Saturday, April 11, the Bison started the tournament with two rounds, firing 321 and 309 as their team scores. Sophia Bardunias ’28 led the Bison with 12th-place individual scoring at 10-over par from the day. Nicole Yun ’27 followed suit by nailing a four-over 75 in the second round. Joelle Johnson ’29 made an improvement during her second round, where she shot a 78 to better her first-round 82. Paige Richter ’26 sat in 56th place after hitting 20-over par, going 80-82.
Katherine Vice ’27 hit an 86 in the first, but also bettered in her second round to an 81. These performances put the Bison in 8th, where they would finish the weekend.
The third and final round concluded on Sunday, April 12, for the Bison. Johnson led the drive with a final round of 77.
Richter followed suit on improvement with a 78; Vice and Bardunias rounded out with matching 83s. Bardunias led the team individually, posting a 235 composite score (77-75-83), tying for 21st.
The Orange and Blue will be back in action for their final tournament of the season, the Patriot League Championships. They head down to the Naval Academy today in hopes of earning the coveted conference title.
