Women’s Tennis falls 5-2 in dual matches

Women’s Tennis fell 5-2 this weekend on the road to both Ferris State and University of Findlay.

Findlay hosted the Bison’s first dual match of the season, and despite losing, the Orange and Blue secured wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 single matches from Whitney King ’25 and Tyne Miller ’24. However, these victories were not enough to overcome the loss of two doubles matches and three singles matches.

King won her match scoring 4-6, 6-2, 10-7, bringing her season record to 7-2, and Miller won, scoring a 6-4,6-3, bringing her season record to 7-3.

Following this match, the Bison played in their last competition of the fall semester at Ferris State. The Bison were able to win two singles matches but lost three doubles matches and four singles matches. Despite the 5-2 loss, three single matchups went longer than two sets, including the teams two wins from Jaycie Mair ’27 and Madi Sebulsky ’24. Mair secured a 2-6, 6-3, 10-2 win at No. 3 singles, and Sebulsky won 1-6, 6-3, 10-8 at No. 6 singles.
