Women’s Tennis continued their spring season on the road for some heavy Patriot League competition. The Bison traveled to Loyola Maryland on Saturday and quickly headed to Annapolis to battle Navy on Sunday. Despite some intense play, the Bison walked away with losses in both matches.
The weekend started tough for the Bison with their dual match against the Greyhounds. The Orange and Blue played some tight doubles matches, but walked away with losses to give Loyola the first point of the match.
Tori Allen ’27 played a tight singles match, pushing to three sets after losing the first. Her 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory gave the Bison a team point. Mirra Manolov ’26 also contributed a three-setter win to the Bison; her match finished 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Natalie Devraj ’28 was the final win for the team, with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-0 victory over her Greyhound opponent. The Bison just fell short overall, losing 3-4.
On Sunday, the Bison took their efforts to Annapolis to take on the Midshipmen. Abby Platt ’26 and Riley Jennings ’28 took a doubles win early in the day, topping 6-2 over their Navy opponents.
However, the rest of the day was bleak, as the Midshipmen won every other match. Platt did her best in pushing her singles match to three after winning the second set, but ultimately lost 5-7, 6-3, 0-1.
