Men’s Tennis improves record to 12-5

This weekend, Men’s Tennis continued to excel on the court, crushing Loyola 6-1. The Bison improved their record to 12-5 overall by sweeping all 12 singles sets despite losing the doubles point. The Orange and Blue are now 129-51 in singles this season and 2-1 in the Patriot League. 

In the number one doubles match, Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega ’26 and Adam Stavrakas ’26 lost a close match 7-6 in a tiebreaker and in the number three spot Tim Zelikovsky ’24 and Will Robinson ’27 also fell, losing 6-2. In the number two doubles match Amar Tahirovic ’26 and Liam Kilmer ’27 were able to secure the only doubles win for the Bison, with a score of 6-1. 

The Bison dominated the singles matches, starting strong with Tahirovic grabbing a 6-1, 6-2 win in the number one spot.  In the number two spot, Stavrakas won 6-3, 6-2, in the number three spot Bain won 6-4, 6-1, in the number four spot Kilmer won 6-3, 6-2 and in the number five and six spots Zelikovsky and Ethan Esclamado ’27 continued the straight sets, both winning 6-2, 6-2. 

The team competes next this Saturday at Drexel and this Sunday at Navy.
