Men’s Tennis competed against Colgate on Saturday’s Senior Day, winning 5-2 to improve to 11-9 overall and 2-1 in Patriot League play.
The Orange and Blue started the day on the No. 1 doubles court as the duo of Brendan McDonald ’26 and Amar Tahirovic ’26 cruised to a 6-1 victory. The Raiders would take the other two doubles matches, however, to take the first point of the dual meet. Tahirovic would find his second win of the day on the singles court, defeating Colgate’s best in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Adam Stavrakas ’26 would do the same on the No. 2 court, claiming a straight set victory topped off by a 6-0 second set after a 7-5 slugfest. Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega ’26 would have to battle for his win on the No. 4 court, dropping the first set 4-6 before winning the final two sets 6-4, 6-4.
McDonald would find the clinching win for the Orange and Blue, winning his match 6-4, 6-1. Will Robinson ’27 would tack on another point on the No. 6 court, winning 6-2, 7-6 (10-8).
Men’s Tennis continues its season on April 11 as they take on Navy in Annapolis, Md.
