Men’s Tennis traveled to Annapolis over the weekend, dropping a 5-2 decision against Navy. The Bison enter the matchup with the momentum of a dominant home win over Colgate.
They faced a Navy squad that was looking to extend its streak after picking up two victories last weekend.
The Bison struggled with a thinned-out lineup. Amar Tahirovic ’26 and Adam Stavrakas ’26 managed a 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot, but Navy took the early lead by clinching the doubles point in the remaining matches. Following his earlier win, Tahirovic cruised to a straight-set win at the No. 1 position in singles. On Court 3, Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega ’26 battled back after dropping his opening set, ultimately outlasting his opponent to take the final two frames.
Despite those individual wins, the Midshipmen took the remaining singles matches, securing the win over the Bison, 5-2. The Orange and Blue are now 11-10 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League with one final regular-season matchup this weekend against Lehigh.
The Bison continue next against Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa., on April 18.
