This past weekend, Men’s Tennis competed against Lehigh in their regular-season finale, losing 3-4.
The Bison enter the matchup looking to bounce back from a tough loss against Navy.
On the other hand, the Mountain Hawks carry a two-game win streak against Boston and Lafayette. The Orange and Blue grabbed the early lead, Amar Tahirovic ’26 and Adam Stavrakas ’26 took Court 1, winning 6-3. The Mountain Hawks responded with a win on Court 3 and a tiebreaker victory on Court 2 to secure the doubles point. In singles play, Brendan McDonald ’26 had a dominant straight-set win, and Will Robinson ’27 recorded a gritty win against his opponent.
Tahirovic followed up on his earlier win with a strong victory, leaving him just one shy of Bucknell’s all-time record. This marks his 111th career singles win, just short of Nick Bybel’s record of 112.
Despite these efforts, the Mountain Hawks took the remaining singles matches, securing the win over the Bison, 3-4.
The Bison return to Bethlehem for the Patriot League Quarterfinals beginning on April 24.
