Men’s Soccer took on Patriot League rival Colgate this past weekend in a rematch of last season’s conference championship. It was a defensive battle the whole way, as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Bison outshot the Raiders 13-5 with seven shots on net, but were unable to capitalize on any opportunities. Defensively, the Orange and Blue only allowed one shot on target, which goalkeeper Freddie Lapworth ’26 saved.
There were few opportunities to come by in the first half, but the Bison found a prime one when Kiko Hidalgo ’27 sent a ball to Winston Oziri ’27 behind the line, but Oziri was unable to connect. Jakub Samelko ’27 found an angle to get a shot off just a few minutes later, but was off-target as well.
Next up for the Bison is a home match on Saturday, Sept. 27, against Boston University.
