Men’s Soccer concluded its season in the first round of the Patriot League tournament after a devastating loss against Boston. The away match took place on Saturday afternoon, where the higher-seeded Terriers dominated 3-1.
Despite the loss, the Bison still earned major awards from the season. Drew Roskos ’28 was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, and his teammate Jackson Sullivan ’26 matched him as Defensive Player of the Year. Roskos led the league in goals with a whopping seven, and Sullivan proved his dominance on the back line. Jimmy Pombor ’26 and Freddie Lapworth ’26 were named to the First Team All-League roster. Jack Lucas ’27 earned his place on the Second Team, and David Krumov ’27 rounded out the Bison on the Third Team. This gave Bucknell the most honorees since 2009, and the most First-Team members since 2003.
The semifinal match itself was a hard one. While Roskos scored a goal for the Bison merely two minutes into play, the Terriers spent the rest of the contest replying with three. Boston originally equalized the game in the first half, leaving the results up in the air for both teams. Roskos made more attempts to score in the second half, but was promptly shut down. With two more goals in the net against the Orange and Blue, Boston stole the match, as well as a spot in the Patriot League semifinals to end the Bison’s season.
