Women’s Tennis’ Abby Platt ’26 was the Bison’s top performer as she reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Conference Masters Championships, but fell in straight sets, 2-6, 2-6.
The Orange and Blue competed at the Patriot League ITA Conference Masters Qualifiers, hosted by Lehigh over the past weekend as Platt and Riley Jennings ’28 both competed in singles and doubles play with NCAA bids on the line.
Both Platt and Jennings had first-round byes. Platt defeated a Mountain Hawk in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, which pushed her through to Saturday’s quarterfinal round. Jennings, on the other hand, was defeated in straight sets by a different Mountain Hawk during her first match of the day. The two Bison teamed up to compete in doubles play but fell to a Navy duo in a match that went to a tiebreaker 7-8 (3-7). Platt lost on Saturday, as a Boston Terrier defeated her 2-6, 2-6.
The Orange and Blue will have to wait until January to compete again as they take on IUP on Jan. 24 and 25 in Indiana, Pa.
