Over the weekend, Women’s Lacrosse faced St. Bonaventure at Home, winning 14-13. The Orange and Blue are looking to expand on their 2-1 record, with wins against Youngstown State and UMBC and a loss against Penn State.
The Bonnies enter the matchup with a 1-2 record, looking to build upon a dominant win against Long Island last weekend. The Orange and Blue started the match strong, scoring six goals in the first quarter.
The Bison started clicking as Estella Geller ’28 buried her first career goal. Not long after, Regan Sansiviero ’26 drew the defense out of position and found a cutting Caleigh Cummiskey ’29 to push the lead to 8-3.
With a Bison lead of 10-5 just after the first half, the Bonnies responded, scoring seven straight goals over 11 minutes, giving them the advantage, 12-10.
Following the attack, Cummiskey and Caroline Sheridan ’26 scored back-to-back goals to tie the match 12-12. Katie Browne ’26 regained the Bison lead with a crucial score while Cummiskey added another to make the total 14-12, with just under three minutes of play left.
The Bonnies found another score, but Alex Macutek ’28 claimed the most critical draw of the game, burning time off the clock and forcing the Bonnies to take a timeout once they regained possession. On the restart, the Bison held firm to secure a gritty 14-13 victory.
The Bison compete next at Arizona State on Mar. 8.
